Vacuum insulated mugs are constructed of two separate sainless steel walls. One wall forms the inside of the mug & the other the outside. These two walls are carfully engineered to have a controlled amount of space between them. The air trapped in the space between the two walls is removed through a technical process, thereby creating a vacuum. The exchange of energy/temperature between the inside of the bottle & the outer air temperature in inhibited. This allows the beverage temperature to be retained for hours. Hot beverages stay hot for 4 hours & cold beverages stay cold for 12 hours.
